Role Overview
As the Production and Development Executive, you will help to oversee and manage the entire production lifecycle of our client's luxury fashion offering, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. You will be part of a small atelier and be engaged with driving product development from concept to completion with 360-degree oversight, emphasizing UK and European production methodologies. This role requires a strategic thinker with a sharp understanding of luxury fashion manufacturing and impeccable attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Management: Oversee the end-to-end production process, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products. Coordinate with UK and European manufacturers and suppliers, ensuring compliance with brand standards and sustainable practices. Optimize production schedules and processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
- Product Development: Assist the development cycle for new collections, from initial concept through to finished product. Collaborate with design teams to help translate creative visions into feasible production strategies. Ensure all products meet the brand’s luxury standards, including fit, fabric, and finishing.
- Supplier and Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors across the UK and Europe, including European travel. Negotiate terms to achieve cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues proactively.
- Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control procedures at every stage of production. Identify and resolve production issues, ensuring all products meet regulatory and brand standards.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage production budgets, ensuring financial targets are met. Analyze production costs and introduce measures for cost reduction without quality compromise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Textile Design, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in fashion production and development, preferably within the luxury sector.
- Extensive knowledge of UK and European fashion manufacturing processes and standards.
- Strong leadership and team management skills; ability to inspire and drive performance.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in production and quality control software.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on cost management and production efficiency.
