Role Summary: The Director of Communications, Cambridge House, London will play a critical role in our European expansion, helping to establish the Cambridge House as the most anticipated hotel in London. The Director of Communications will be responsible for developing and executing marketing and public relations strategies, as well as driving social media, digital and ecommerce business while ensuring all communications support the property positioning and create buzz on a national and local level. In addition, this role will identify and implement relevant partnerships, sponsorships and support the development of our unique one-of-a-kind experiences. This role requires a creative, strategic thinker with a proven track record in brand building, campaign management, and effective internal and external communications. The ideal candidate thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, is highly self-motivated, and adapts quickly to new systems, processes, and evolving priorities.
Core Responsibilities:
- Drive awareness and revenue generation for new hotel openings - rooms, F&B, spa and experiences.
- Develop and implement the overall marketing and communications strategy to enhance brand visibility and meet the business objectives of Cambridge House.
- Work closely with the VP Marketing, New Openings, and the SVP of Brand & Communications through pre-opening to drive engaging pre-opening marketing and communications.
- Oversee the development of engaging content for various channels, including digital, social media, press releases, and internal communications.
- Create unique and story-telling driven property collateral.
- Email cadence, planning and execution.
- Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, influencers, and key stakeholders locally.
- Coordinate the production of digital marketing creative asset development and work closely with the Home Office digital marketing team to support plan execution.
- Work with the VP Marketing, New Openings and Experiences team to create unique one of a kind experiences and partnerships throughout pre-opening.
- Support the on-boarding of the property sales and marketing and culture and experience teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in luxury or design space with experience in marketing, social media, or PR.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, PR, or communications.
- Proven experience in a senior marketing and communications role with a track record of developing and executing successful campaigns.
- Has a strong understanding of the style, design and nuance of luxury that is required to create a distinctive brand for each property.
- Can collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and align marketing initiatives with business goals.
- Has a curious mind, is a strong multi-tasker who finds opportunities and creates solutions, where others find problems.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently.
