A leading investment bank is seeking a Core Java Technical Lead to drive the modernisation of its front-office eTrading platforms. This is a senior, hands-on opportunity to lead the design and development of high-performance, low-latency systems supporting rates products including government bonds, swaps and interest-rate derivatives.

You’ll work directly with traders, quants and structurers while owning the technical direction and architecture of key components across the trading stack. You’ll remain close to the code while managing and mentoring a talented engineering team, driving best practices across development, testing and deployment.

The environment uses modern Java technologies, multithreading, concurrency, JVM performance tuning, messaging platforms such as Kafka and Solace, microservices, cloud technologies and modern CI/CD practices.
