We are working with a leading International Law firm who are looking to hire a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. Reporting to the Head of IT, the Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer plays a key role in ensuring our cloud and infrastructure environment is secure, resilient, and continuously evolving. Working closely with the Solutions Architect, you will design, implement, and optimise Azure-based solutions aligned with business and cybersecurity objectives. This is a senior, hands-on role requiring deep Azure expertise, strong architectural capability, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Core IT hours are 8:00am–7:00pm (Mon–Fri) on a shift basis. Participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota and occasional evening or weekend work is required.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure for scalability, security, and high availability
- Administer and optimise Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform
- Monitor and optimise cloud performance, resilience, and cost
- Implement and maintain cloud security controls, identity management, and compliance frameworks
- Manage Intune, endpoint security, and device compliance
- Implement Microsoft Purview data governance and classification
- Perform vulnerability management, patching, and remediation
- Own remediation from penetration testing and phishing simulations
- Design, test, and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Respond to escalated incidents via the ServiceDesk
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and the wider Microsoft 365 ecosystem
- Proven Azure architecture and automation experience (Terraform)
- Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, and compliance
- Experience in legal or professional services environments (e.g. iManage, 3E, Intapp, Mimecast, Tessian, Litera)
- Solid knowledge of cloud networking (VPNs, firewalls, load balancing)
