We are partnering with a leading international law firm renowned for its commitment to excellence, innovation, and delivering high-quality client service. As part of their ongoing transformation and strategic growth, they are seeking a Head of Data to lead the firm's data function and drive a robust data strategy across the business.

Role Overview: The Head of Data will collaborate with Partners and staff across the firm to develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy that manages risk, enhances operational efficiency, and supports long-term business growth. You will be responsible for improving data quality, standardising processes, and fostering a data-first culture throughout the firm. This is a high-impact, senior leadership role suited to a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of data governance and the operational workings of a global law firm or professional services organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a firmwide data strategy that supports risk management and business growth
  • Establish and lead a Data Governance Group, embedding robust governance and standards
  • Identify and drive improvements to data quality, integrations, classifications, and reporting
  • Collaborate with Information Governance, Change, and Learning teams to embed a data-driven culture
  • Lead tactical and strategic initiatives across master data, data hierarchies, glossaries, and cleansing
  • Deliver efficiencies through automation and process improvement
  • Educate and engage Partners and staff in the value and use of data
  • Recruit and manage a high-performing data team, as required

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years in a senior data role within legal or professional services
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, including C-suite and Partners
  • Strong understanding of data governance, integration, and system interoperability
  • Able to effectively communicate complex data issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Results-driven, commercially aware, and pragmatic in your approach
  • Excellent stakeholder management and change leadership skills
  • Curious, resilient, and confident in constructively challenging the status quo
