A Specialist Role at the Heart of a Global Insurance Powerhouse. This is an opportunity to join one of the most respected and financially formidable names in the global insurance and reinsurance industry. Their London Market operation sits firmly within the Lloyd's and specialty insurance space, and the Manchester function is a growing, high-profile part of that story.

With new regulatory frameworks on the horizon and a business expanding at pace across Europe and APAC, Third Party Vendor Management has never carried more strategic importance. This is a role where your expertise will matter, your work will be visible, and the timing of your arrival could not be better.

The Role: We are looking for an experienced Third Party Vendor Management Specialist to join a small, expert Operations Management team in Manchester. Working alongside a senior Third Party Vendor Manager, this is a specialist hire, not a junior support role, and not a managerial position. We need someone who can come in, take ownership and operate independently from day one.

The role sits within the 1st Line of Defence and covers the full lifecycle of third party and outsourcing oversight for a regulated Lloyd's market insurer. With incoming regulation expected in early 2027 and an evolving supplier landscape, there is real scope to shape and strengthen the function as it grows.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Managing the full lifecycle of vendor relationships from onboarding and due diligence through to ongoing monitoring, contract reviews and offboarding.
  • Monitoring SLA performance and KPIs across all important third party arrangements, escalating issues and driving remediation where required.
  • Maintaining and updating the third-party arrangement inventory and associated systems.
  • Conducting third-party resilience assessments, ensuring vendors meet contractual resilience obligations and evidencing compliance.
  • Supporting contract assessment and remediation activity, including identifying gaps against regulatory expectations.

What We're Looking For:

  • Demonstrable experience in Third Party Vendor Management and/or Outsourcing Risk within a regulated financial services or insurance environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of FCA, PRA as they relate to third-party and outsourcing oversight.
  • Excellent documentation and policy writing skills, the ability to produce clear, precise and well-structured policies, procedures and governance papers for senior and board-level audiences.

Why This Role: Join a globally respected specialty insurer at a pivotal moment in its growth journey. A small, collaborative team where your contribution is visible and valued. Genuine scope for progression as the function grows, with new regulations driving increased demand on the team. Hybrid working, 2 days per week in a modern Manchester office. Work on meaningful, complex vendor relationships within a Lloyd's-regulated environment where the stakes are real.
