I'm partnering with a leading global insurer and reinsurer on the appointment of a Legal Counsel to join its UK legal team. This is a broad and highly visible role, offering the opportunity to work closely with senior business leaders on a wide range of legal, regulatory and commercial matters across multiple jurisdictions .The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to the business, supporting underwriting, product and leadership teams while helping to manage legal risk and deliver commercially focused solutions Drafting, reviewing and negotiating Lloyd's and Company Market policy wordings, delegated authority agreements and distribution arrangement Supporting underwriting and product teams on governance, regulatory requirements and product development Providing legal advice on coverage issues, disputes, sanctions and regulatory matter Advising on commercial contracts and broader corporate legal issue Supporting strategic business initiatives, projects and transaction Developing legal guidance, training and best-practice documentation Managing legal risk and coordinating with external counsel where require Strong insurance and/or reinsurance legal experience gained in private practice or in-house Commercially minded with the ability to balance legal risk and business objective Comfortable building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all level Up to £120,000 depending on experience, plus bonus and a comprehensive benefits pack
