My client, a leading global law firm, is seeking 2x Category Managers to join their growing Procurement team in London. These roles offer the opportunity to work closely with the Head of Procurement and contribute to shaping the firm’s procurement strategy, supplier management and commercial engagement.
As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of vendors and projects across Facilities Management, Marketing, Travel, and Professional Services, ensuring all engagements comply with the firm’s governance, diligence, and commercial requirements. You will play a key role in contract negotiation, RFI/RFP processes, and the overall supplier lifecycle for both locally and globally consumed services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and implement procurement processes, ensuring governance and due diligence across all supplier engagements.
- Manage supplier on-boarding, monitor renewal dates, and assist with contract co-terming and RFPs.
- Review proposals, contracts, and Statements of Work to ensure alignment with business expectations.
- Collaborate with Legal, Risk, InfoSec, and Finance teams to assess and approve new suppliers.
- Maintain supplier documentation, relationship history, and track ongoing discussions and check-ins.
- Contribute to in-flight and new procurement projects, supporting both project and BAU portfolios.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in Procurement or a centralised procurement function within a multinational organisation.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation, drafting, and review.
- Experience in at least one of the following categories: Professional Services, Marketing, Travel, Facilities Management.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to prioritise in a high-pressure environment.
