Overview: As a Junior Direct Trader, you'll work with our direct trading team in a business development capacity. You will learn about the oil & gas industry and develop a pipeline of counterparties to trade with. You will learn about the methodology of trade and proprietary systems that allow you to do so, along with business development and sales techniques. You will contact counterparties across the globe with a particular focus in Asia and the Middle East, developing relationships with decision makers. You will engage in one-to-one conversations in order to extract final deals from researched counterparties, which requires attention to detail.
Requirements:
- BS or MS in Business Administration, Financial Studies or PPE
- Ability to read, write and speak fluent Mandarin Chinese and English
- Strong interest in energy markets, sales and trading
- Possess a strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new concepts
