Overview
We are seeking a Quantitative Researcher to develop and deploy alpha-generating strategies within our equities business. This role is focused on identifying, testing, and scaling systematic signals in a fast‑paced proprietary trading environment. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated track record of generating alpha in equities and thrives in an environment that values ownership, speed, and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Research, develop, and implement systematic trading strategies across equities
- Generate and validate alpha signals using large, complex datasets
- Create predictive models utilizing financial data through statistical analysis methods
- Work closely with trading and engineering teams to deploy and optimize strategies in production
- Continuously refine models based on market behavior and performance feedback
- Explore new datasets, features, and methodologies to improve signal quality
- Create robust solutions to problems presented in the trading environment
- Develop research strategies into production software
Requirements:
- A degree in a technical discipline with a focus on statistics, machine learning, or computer science
- Experience working within proprietary trading environments, specifically equities product experience
- Demonstrated ability to generate and deploy alpha in equities markets
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Significant hands‑on experience applying algorithms to real‑world situations
- Strong problem‑solving and statistics skills
- The ability to proactively take the lead on assignments and deliver practical research results in a timely manner
