Their experience has enabled them to sustain growth in the market by offering a Total Service Package all under one roof. We are recruiting for an HGV Technician who has mechanical knowledge and ideally some basic repair experience, but more than anything someone who is willing to learn new skills and develop.

Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Maintenance, Mechanical Repairs and Vehicle MET repairs.
  • Inspect vehicles and carry out MOT preparation to VOSA standards.
  • Maintain various commercial vehicles and repair mechanical defects.
  • Address or solve issues as they arise and seek guidance if needed.
  • Self‑motivate to achieve tasks within given time scales and improve service levels.
  • Communicate with colleagues and customers alike.
  • Keep a daily log of work carried out.
  • Maintain cleanliness within the workplace ensuring a tidy work area at all times.
  • Be aware of customer service ethics and meet the customers’ needs.
  • Work alongside colleagues to deliver on specific work projects.
  • Develop accident repair in relation to cab detrain & retrim.
  • Chassis laser checks and chassis repairs & steering geo checks.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
  • Key skills in English and Maths.
  • Knowledge & experience in Auto Electrical & diagnostic repairs (if possible).

Hours: 7.30 to 5.00 Monday to Friday with overtime available.
