CNC Miller/Programmer Offline Hypermill
£18.00 - £20.00 per hour, Overtime Available, 39‑hour week, Good working environment, Established Manufacturer.
Our client, an established manufacturing company in Rochdale, is looking to expand their team and is searching for a CNC Programmer with Hypermill/SolidWorks experience to manufacture components.
The Job
- Develop and edit CNC programmes for milling machines and other CNC equipment using CAD/CAM Software
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications using CAD software such as SolidWorks and CAD tools
- Work with CNC machines with appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials
- Adjust programmes based on feedback from inspection or production staff to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Maintain detailed records of programme versions, modifications, and machine settings
- Collaborate with the fabrication, assembly, welding, and materials handling teams to ensure seamless production flow
- Perform routine maintenance checks on CNC equipment and assist with minor repairs when necessary
About You
- Proven experience in CNC programming within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, milling operations, and tooling selection
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and other Hypermill programmes
- Mechanical knowledge, including familiarity with math skills for calculations related to machining tolerances
- Experience with materials handling, assembly, welding, and the use of hand tools in a workshop setting
- Good understanding of mechanical principles relevant to CNC machining operations
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and translate them into effective programmes
