Our client in Leeds is looking for a Van Technician who will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of our commercial vans to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with automotive systems, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of vehicle performance.
The Job
- Perform routine inspections, servicing, and preventive maintenance on company vans.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and exhaust system repairs.
- Maintain accurate service records and report on vehicle conditions.
- Test vehicles after repairs to ensure safety and performance standards.
- Order and manage parts inventory to support timely maintenance.
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with the fleet team to schedule repairs and minimize vehicle downtime.
- Stay updated on the latest van technologies, tools, and repair methods.
About You
- Proven experience as an automotive technician, preferably with commercial vans.
