We’re looking for experienced Care Assistants with dementia training and relevant Level 3 Qualification and experience in a Supervisory role. Excellent written and verbal English will be required. This is a business that is passionate about providing compassionate and safe care that is tailored to residents, we need people who align with these values and can lead their team by example.
The Role:
You will need to provide leadership to the care staff within the service and provide care in accordance with current best practices, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements and relevant regulations, under the direction of Senior Staff. You will supervise the care services within the organisation in accordance with agreed standards.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Ensure service users are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing
- To supervise staff and ensure that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service
- Be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of those individuals supported by the service
- To administer service users medication safely and timely in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements, reflecting policy and procedures and agreed standards
- To complete the correct ordering, storage, administration and disposal of residents medication following legislative and Company procedures, whist maintaining adequate stock levels.
- To arrange and conduct junior staff supervisions and appraisals in liaison with the Manager
- To maintain and further develop professional communication channels with all members of the support services
- To ensure the up to date, accurate and timely recording of all residents care delivery using PCS
- To ensure the timely review of each residents care plan
- Develop effective working relationships with other employees within the service
- Work in co-operation with members of multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for service users
- Support staff to maintain accurate records using PCS, Workforce and QCS
- To assist with the induction of new employees
- Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth
- Be role model for other staff and be an ambassador for the service
- Be professional, polite and reasonable at all times
