This is an established UK based manufacturer and distributor trading UK wide and globally. This is a new Specification Sales role created to grow the account base and revenue across the leisure & hospitality sectors.
Experience and contacts in the industry would be desirable, along with a good understanding of lead times. We need someone proactive, driven, commercially aware who can present to architects, lighting specifiers, designers and hospitality groups. Can you build relationships with key stakeholders and most importantly DRIVE SALES?
Weβre looking with someone with a proven track record of sales excellence within specification sales, into the hospitality market or similar, utilise your knowledge, contacts and experience to grow market share. You will be provided with exceptional product innovation and quality, market leading stock availability and back up and support to bring a high level of success to the business and to you!
The Role:
- Prospect high potential new corporate customers and grow new revenue, scheduling meetings and presentations to assist in making this business the preferred choice.
- Responsible for the sales of bespoke products, liaising extensively with internal cross-functional teams to effectively plan and share upcoming project demands.
- Create and maintain an active pipeline of projects and opportunities. Engaging directly with key influencers and business decision makers with the goal of increasing sales.
- Develop high levels of product knowledge to answer customer questions and provide technical advice as required.
- Embrace modern sales techniques submitting information into the CRM system with project logs, call planning, key visit notes and quotations.
- Monitor and analyse sales performance, determining and implementing strategies to meet changing market conditions.
- Collaborate with the sales team and senior management to meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the business
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to remain at the forefront of the UK Lighting Market.
- As necessary, attend trade shows and other industry events to capitalize on networking and relationship-building opportunities.
- Provide regular updates to line manager and senior management team
The Person:
- A pro-active and proven approach to sales, with a strong desire and ability to win and grow new business.
- You will have experience of selling directly into the hospitality industry with a strong industry network and solid knowledge of market conditions.
- Possess excellent negotiation, influencing and account management skills.
- Experience of working in a target driven sales role (your drive to achieve this should be unwavering).
- Ability to build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, ensuring repeat business and generating new leads.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, combined with a sound working knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
- Proficiency in CRM Software is desirable
- Hold a Full UK driving licence and have a willingness to travel and stay away as required.
