Technical Sales Engineer - New Business Development & Account Management

Engineering solutions, manufacturing, automotive – Selling engineering solutions.

Location: Midlands / UK / On the Road - Rugby HQ

A brilliant self-starter sales position managing £5 million of key accounts.

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 with company car or car allowance, fuel card and superb bonus, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays – Lots of autonomy.

  • 50% new business, 50% account management.
  • Field sales, on the road, in the office, pro-active technical sales opportunity.
  • Dynamic role for someone with experience selling into engineering, manufacturing, automotive, construction.
  • Average deal values between £50,000 - £200,000.
  • Understanding of selling into one of these sectors is essential!
  • Must have a new business flair but also be able to account manage and grow.
  • High quality bespoke solutions and cross-sell other group services and solutions.
  • Focus on revenue generation, new account acquisition and account development.
  • Looking for a very pro-active, new business hunter who wants to make this their own!
  • SME (Not corporate) mentality required. Hands-on self-starter!

Candidate Requirements:

  • 5 years plus selling technical / engineering solutions into UK manufacturing.
  • Contacts and experience of who to sell to in Automotive, Construction or Manufacturing.
  • Field sales – new business self-starter experience with a hunter growth mentality.
  • Upbeat can-do personality – with drive and strong work ethic.
  • A mechanical qualification would be a bonus but not essential.
  • Must be able to talk target customers, what you know and who you know.
  • Self-motivated – transparent, down to earth, strong communicator.
