Hours: 40 hours per week
We are looking for a Quality Technician to join Dutypoint and support the Quality function across our manufacturing site in Gloucester. You will play a key role in ensuring products and processes meet the required quality standards, investigating non-conformances and working with teams across the business to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Raise, manage and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Investigate non-conformances and identify root causes with relevant departments.
  • Monitor and follow up corrective actions to ensure they are completed.
  • Manage internal departmental complaints and ensure issues are investigated and resolved.
  • Liaise with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Stores, Projects and other departments on quality-related issues.
  • Carry out internal audits against company procedures and quality requirements.
  • Record audit findings and follow up corrective actions.
  • Carry out inspections and checks to support manufacturing and quality processes.
  • Identify recurring quality issues and escalated these to the Quality Manager.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
  • Support day-to-day quality activities across the site.
  • Ensure quality issues are communicated effectively and followed through to resolution.
  • Promote a consistent approach to quality across the manufacturing site.

Knowledge and skills

  • Previous experience in a quality role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Understanding of quality control and quality assurance processes.
  • Experience managing non-conformances and corrective actions.
  • Experience carrying out internal audits.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to work across different departments.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple issues at the same time.
  • Good IT skills, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 would be advantageous.

  • Internal Auditor qualification or experience would be desirable.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes would be advantageous.
