REPORTS TO:
Technical & Engineering Manager

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of modular mechanical and electrical plantroom projects. The role requires full lifecycle project ownership, from contract award to client handover, ensuring technical delivery, programme control, and client satisfaction. This is a senior role suited to a commercially aware individual with a background in building services, modular prefabrication, or mechanical project delivery.

TEAM FUNCTION:

With the growth of data centres and district heating this market is likely to grow significantly over the next years.

We have a team that are out getting ourselves specified, working around technical challenges and selling the products.

The team create special designs to support quotations through to as-built drawings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the delivery of packaged plantroom projects from handover to completion.
  • Define and manage project scope, schedule, cost, risk, and resources.
  • Serve as primary client point of contact, coordinating with consultants and main contractors.
  • Chair internal and client facing project progress meetings.
  • Oversee technical submittals, design coordination, and procurement status.
  • Manage change control and variations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to ensure deliverables.
  • Ensure delivery of documentation, QA packs, and commissioning support as required.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Proven experience managing M&E or packaged plantroom projects in construction/fabrication.
  • Sound understanding of building services systems, modular off-site solutions, and fabrication workflows.
  • Experience delivering projects for Tier 1 contractors or technical clients.
  • Competent in interpreting P&IDs, layout drawings, and specifications
  • Familiar with CDM Regulations and UK construction safety standards.
  • SMSTS, CSCS or equivalent safety training preferred.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems and project QA/QC requirements.
  • Desirable: previous experience in modular construction, plantroom skids, or off-site MEP manufacturing.

ATTRIBUTES:

  • Able to manage multiple disciplines and suppliers within tight timelines.
  • Strong commercial awareness and contract administration experience.
