We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Mate / Improver to join a well-established team based in Hebburn, working across a range of large commercial projects throughout the region.

Requirements:

  • Valid ECS Card (essential)
  • Minimum 2 years electrical experience
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport
  • Must live within approximately 10-15 miles of Hebburn / South Shields
  • Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a small team

The Role:

You will be assisting qualified electricians on a variety of large commercial sites, carrying out:

  • Installation and maintenance of temporary electrical supplies
  • Site cabins and welfare facility electrical works
  • General electrical support duties
  • Depot-based maintenance work in Hebburn
  • Making off armoured cable ends and associated electrical tasks

The role offers a mix of site and depot work, providing excellent long-term opportunities for the right candidate.

Pay: £20.00 per hour (CIS/Umbrella)

  • Minimum 40 hours per week
  • £800+ per week
  • Regular overtime available once established and fully competent in the role

Contract Details: This is an ongoing contract with no fixed end date. Although the initial commitment is typically three months, successful candidates often remain with the company long-term. The team has a strong retention rate.
