Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting for a Document Controller for a permanent position based with our client in Sheffield. Immediate start available (Subject to interview process). Salary circa £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
The successful candidate will play a key role in controlling engineering documentation, maintaining quality records, and supporting the business in ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and maintain all engineering, fabrication and quality documentation.
- Ensure documentation is accurately controlled, updated and distributed to the relevant departments.
- Maintain revision control for drawings, procedures, specifications and manufacturing records.
- Prepare and compile manufacturing record books (MRBs), quality dossiers and handover documentation for customers.
- Support production, engineering and quality teams with document control processes.
- Ensure all documentation complies with customer specifications and company procedures.
- Assist with internal and external ISO 9001 audits.
- Maintain records relating to inspections, material certificates, welding documentation and quality reports.
- Archive completed project documentation in accordance with company procedures.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal departments regarding documentation requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve document control processes and quality systems.
- Previous experience as a Document Controller within a fabrication, manufacturing or heavy engineering environment.
- Good understanding of fabrication processes and engineering documentation.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Experience managing controlled documentation and revision processes.
- Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with multiple departments.
- Competent using Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet project deadlines.
