Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting Mechanical Maintenance Fitters for permanent positions in Newark for immediate starts. Salary is circa £49,000 per annum and will be working on a 4 on, 4 off, shift rotation (Days and nights).
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the reliability and performance of site assets
- Work closely with production teams to maximise utilisation of equipment
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance via the CMMS system, Holistech
- Respond to breakdowns using structured fault-finding techniques
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with SOPs and legislation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects
- Drive efficiency, energy awareness and cost-effective solutions
- Complete all relevant statutory and maintenance documentation
Requirements
- Mechanical engineering background with hands on industrial experience
- Apprentice trained to NVQ Level 3
- Experience working within a manufacturing or process environment
- Proven fault finding and breakdown response skills
- Understanding of health and safety legislation and responsibilities
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly motivated and supportive team player
- Able to work independently without immediate supervision
- Open to further personal development in line with the company training plan
