Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting for an HGV Field Service Technician for a permanent position based with our client in Newark. Immediate start available (subject to interview process).

Rate of pay: £22.50 per hour. This will be working Monday to Friday 6am to 4pm.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGV trucks and trailers across our client's sites.
  • Travel to company sites to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
  • Respond to vehicle breakdowns and provide effective roadside and onsite support.
  • Complete inspections and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure full DVSA compliance.
  • Complete all maintenance records and paperwork accurately.
  • Work safely at all times, following company health and safety procedures.
  • Liaise with the workshop team and operational departments to prioritise repairs and maximise fleet availability.
Essential Requirements:
  • Fully qualified HGV Technician with a City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience maintaining and repairing HGV trucks and trailers.
  • Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload while working remotely.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on safety, quality and compliance.
  • Full UK driving licence.
