Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for experienced Manual Vertical Borer Setter/Operators and Manual Horizontal Borer Setter/Operators to join their established engineering team in the Manchester area. Immediate start available (subject to interview process).
Salary is £38,480 per annum (depending on experience).
Manual Vertical Borer Setter/OperatorThe successful candidate will:
- Set and operate manual vertical boring machines.
- Work from customer-issued engineering drawings and specifications.
- Machine medium to heavy workpieces to tight tolerances.
- Carry out self-inspection to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Be willing to work overtime when required.
- Previous experience setting and operating manual vertical boring machines or a strong manual turning background.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience producing high-quality machined components.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
The successful candidate will:
- Set and operate manual horizontal boring machines.
- Work from customer-issued engineering drawings and specifications.
- Machine medium to heavy workpieces to required tolerances.
- Carry out self-inspection of completed work.
- Be willing to work overtime when required.
- Previous experience setting and operating manual horizontal boring machines or a strong manual milling background.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
