Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a permanent position based with our client in Scunthorpe. Immediate start available (subject to interview process). Salary is £46,000 to £51,000 per annum (depending on experience). This will be working days Monday to Friday.
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will lead a group of team leaders and craft persons made up of both internal employees and contractors. You will play a vital role in keeping our assets running safely, reliably, and efficiently through involvement in maintaining critical plant infrastructure.
You will support a range of engineering activities, including:
- Maintenance planning and execution working closely with plant teams to ensure safe, cost-effective engineering support.
- Plant performance and reliability improvements, identifying areas for enhancement and delivering practical solutions.
- Project involvement, from design and technical submissions through to installation and commissioning of capital works.
You will work on many different types of electrical and engineering equipment that includes motors, drives, sensors, instrumentation, PLCs, SCADA/HMI, MCC (power centres), hydraulic and pneumatic systems, gas systems and water systems.
Ideally, you will have experience of electrical maintenance and fault finding within a heavy engineering environment. You must be flexible, have a desire to learn and develop, and an ability to adapt to new equipment. Knowledge of steelmaking processes would be beneficial but is not essential, as extensive training will be provided.
