Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting for an HGV Field Service Technician for a permanent position based with our client in Newark. Immediate start available (subject to interview process).
Rate of pay: £22.50 per hour
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 6am to 4pm
Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGV trucks and trailers across our client’s sites.
- Travel to company sites to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
- Respond to vehicle breakdowns and provide effective roadside and onsite support.
- Complete inspections and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure full DVSA compliance.
- Complete all maintenance records and paperwork accurately.
- Work safely at all times, following company health and safety procedures.
- Liaise with the workshop team and operational departments to prioritise repairs and maximise fleet availability.
Essential Requirements:
- Fully qualified HGV Technician with a City & Guilds qualification or equivalent.
