Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) for a permanent position based with our client in Barnsley. Immediate start available (subject to interview process). Salary is £48,158.45 per annum. This role will involve working a Panama shifts pattern 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am on a 2-3-2 pattern alternating days and nights.
You will be responsible for keeping production and plant machinery in service and minimising downtime. The role is to work as part of a team covering the 24/7 demands of the business.
Main Responsibilities:- Comply with all HSE policies and procedures.
- Ensure that engineering records are accurately maintained and presented in a timely manner.
- Electrical diagnostic work on PLC systems.
- Implement and support rapid breakdown fault finding and rectification.
- Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
- Breakdowns, fault finding and repair of complex machinery and ancillaries.
- PLCs / Controls SIEMENS.
- Assist with the focused improvement team.
- 3 phase electrical systems and operations.
- Initiate improvement in practices, systems and procedures.
- Mechanical maintenance.
- Electrical qualifications (minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Time served engineering apprenticeship.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems which include electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC.
- 3+ years experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of engineering principles.
- Ability to carry out PPM on machinery.
- Installation and commissioning of industrial machinery.
