Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team in Sheffield. Immediate start available (subject to interview process). Salary is £45,000 per annum (inclusive of shift allowance). This role will involve working a 2 shift pattern: days and afternoons.

This position includes the installation and maintenance of systems, along with ensuring that breakdowns and planned activities are managed effectively.

Responsibilities and duties include:

  • Working safely throughout all activities in line with safety standards and procedures, ensuring a full Risk Assessment is carried out prior to undertaking any task.
  • Ensuring applicable compliance is maintained.
  • Responding to electrical and mechanical breakdowns & faults and managing planned & reactive work in a timely and logical manner.
  • Carrying out electrical installation work as required.
  • Using appropriate data and systems to manage the site's electrical & control systems.
  • Liaising with and assisting in the management of third party contractors.
  • Liaising and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Recognised apprenticeship within electrical maintenance.
  • Knowledge of plant control and the use of PLC and control systems is preferred.
  • Ability to fault find mechanically.
  • Enthusiastic and computer literate, with good interpersonal skills along with the ability to work as part of a team or unsupervised.
