Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting for CNC Turner Operators for permanent positions based with our client in Sheffield. This is a permanent position working either days (6am-4pm Monday - Thursday) or nights (4:30pm - 2:30am Monday - Thursday).
Rate of pay:
- Days rate: £17.40 per hour
- Night rate: £23.20 per hour
Hours:
- Monday to Thursday 6 till 4pm (Days)
- Monday to Thursday 4:30pm till 02:30 am (Nights)
Overtime:
- After 4pm and on a Friday 6 till 1pm based at time ½ (Days)
- After 02:30 till 4:30am in week and Friday afternoon overtime at time ½ (Nights)
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Primarily operating, setting and programming CNC Turning machines
- Modifying programs as and when required ensuring quality workmanship at all times
- Checking tool's dimensions and precision measuring instruments
- Working in line with company procedures and machine capability to ensure production deadlines are met
- Adhering to Quality and HSE Standards and policies
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous CNC Turning Experience
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- A team player
- Organised, focused and able to adopt a high level of attention to detail within your work
- Understanding and appreciation of health and safety
- Ability to use initiative
