We are supporting a leading contracting business in the search for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their Technical Services team. This is a permanent role, primarily based between Greenwich and Canary Wharf.

Type: Permanent

Department: Technical Services

Hours: 08:00 - 17:00 (1-hour lunch) - flexible according to business needs

Location: Greenwich and Canary Wharf

Salary: Dependent on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Developing strong client relationships and providing trusted technical advice.
  • Assisting with the assessment of new projects and supporting fee proposals.
  • Producing, reviewing, and approving mechanical working drawings and technical submittals from Stage 5 onwards.
  • Carrying out mechanical calculations and delivering design solutions from initial brief to detailed design.
  • Monitoring on-site construction work to ensure compliance with design standards and company quality requirements.
  • Leading testing and commissioning activities, including ISTs and Black Building Tests.
  • Conducting technical evaluations of existing buildings to inform short- and long-term mechanical strategies, including:
  • Energy performance assessments
  • Load and capacity reviews
  • Life cycle replacement reports
  • Single point of failure (SPOF) analysis
  • Resiliency assessments
