We are supporting a leading building services contractor in their search for a skilled BMS Service Engineer to join their team. This is a hands-on role that involves servicing, commissioning, and maintaining building management systems across multiple sites. The role includes travel between client sites and may require occasional out-of-hours work to support critical systems.

Department: BMS Division

Hours: 07:00 - 16:00, with flexibility for business needs and out-of-hours work

Location: Cannons / site-based

Salary: Dependent on experience

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will work closely with the Service Manager and experienced BMS engineers to deliver high-quality service and small works projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Commissioning and troubleshooting small BMS systems.
  • Diagnosing and resolving faults efficiently.
  • Maintaining and updating point-to-point lists.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of software strategies.
  • Working with protocols including Modbus, BACnet, and Lon.
  • Modifying graphics and system interfaces as required.
  • Calibrating sensors, valve actuators, and other control devices.
  • Liaising with clients and site managers to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Working on multiple small to medium-sized projects across various sites.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and BMS strategies.
  • Extensive experience with Tridium, Trend, Centraline, Distech.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of control automation equipment, including variable frequency drives.
  • Understanding of relevant standards and industry best practices for control systems.
