Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting for a permanent position based with our clients in Leeds. Immediate start available (subject to interview process). Salary is up to £36,000 per annum (depending on experience). This will be working 36.5 hours per week, with a 4 day working week. Working hours are Monday to Wednesday 7am - 4:45pm & Thursday 7am to 4:15pm.
Job Specification Day to Day:
- Responsible for setting and operating CNC mill and turning machines.
- Ensure tight tolerances on a range of machinery.
- Achieve manufacturing hours and deadlines to meet the customers' needs.
- Completion of inspection using Renishaw probe and various hand measuring devices.
- Adherence to all Health Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure high levels of quality and workmanship are maintained.
- Support other departments in the manufacture of products.
- Carry out basic machine maintenance including metal working fluid checks and pre-use safety checks.
- Complete paperwork to maintain complete traceability.
- Work in line with the companies' Quality manuals and MOD standards.
- Edit CNC programmes using Heidenhain, Siemens or Haas control for machining centres.
Essential Requirements:
- Apprentice trained as minimum.
- Competent using Heidenhein iTNC 640 & Haas G-code control system.
- Experience with various materials including carbon steel and stainless steel.
- Manufacturing to engineering drawings.
- Experience with CNC Milling and Turning machines.
