Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting for a motivated and enthusiastic Procurement & CAD Administrator to join our clients growing team in the West Yorkshire area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career within engineering and manufacturing. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day procurement of stock materials, assisting with CAD drawings for manufacture, and providing general administrative support. Full training can be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for a school or sixth form leaver, college student, university graduate, or someone with a genuine interest in engineering and technical design.
Immediate start available (subject to interview process). Salary circa is £26,000 to £28,000 per annum (depending on experience).
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the day-to-day procurement of stock items, including: Nuts, bolts and fixings, Sheet metal, Engineering consumables.
- Place occasional purchase orders for larger equipment such as: Fans, Coils, Recuperators.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure materials are delivered on time.
- Maintain stock levels and monitor inventory requirements.
- Produce CAD drawings ready for manufacture.
- Assist with updating engineering documentation and technical records.
- Carry out general office administration and support the wider engineering team.
- Work closely with production and purchasing departments to ensure projects run efficiently.
- A genuine interest in engineering, manufacturing or technical design.
- Basic CAD experience would be advantageous but is not essential, as training and a CAD course can be provided.
- Good IT skills and willingness to learn new software.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
- This role would suit someone who has recently completed Sixth Form or College.
- Recently graduated from university in an Engineering or Technical discipline.
