Are you looking to build your legal career in a fast-paced and supportive environment? We’re looking for a Legal Assistant to join our busy and friendly Residential Property team in Chandlers Ford, where you’ll play a key role in supporting lawyers throughout the lifecycle of property transactions.
In this vital role, you’ll be hands-on with a wide range of tasks — from preparing contract packs and carrying out searches, to liaising directly with clients, estate agents and third parties to keep transactions on track. You’ll also take responsibility for onboarding new clients, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with daily administrative duties such as post sorting and file management. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assisting lawyers with the day-to-day management of residential property transactions including sales, purchases, and re-mortgages.
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other third parties to gather and share relevant information.
- Preparing and issuing contract packs, ordering property searches, and ensuring key milestones are met.
- Opening new files and guiding clients through the onboarding process.
- Maintaining accurate file records and case management system entries.
- Sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing post and providing general administrative support to the team.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a residential property team, ideally at administrative or assistant level.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills with a confident and friendly manner when dealing with clients and colleagues.
