An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as Junior Buyer working in Leeds as part of our Buying Team.
Salary: Competitive Salary + excellent benefits package The ideal candidate for this role will be customer focused with strong communication and negotiation skills with a passion for product and developing a new products regularly.
Role
Responsibilities: Accountable for sourcing and selecting a range, ensuring all KPIs are delivered including sales budget, margin and stock cover.
Have an understanding of all daily and weekly sales reports - including WSSI - and able to trade their category based on findings presented in weekly trade meetings.
Manage the day-to-day running of their product area, including actioning trade initiatives, minimising risk to the category whilst capitalising as quickly as possible on opportunities to overachieve.
Responsible for reacting to competitor activity on the back of competitor shops and benchmarking exercises presented by the team, quickly responding to price changes and recognising new product opportunities.
