PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sets up and maintains a system of internal controls and the most effective control of the assets and revenues of the hotel.
  • Reports financial and operational results on a timely basis.
  • Maintains all accounting records of the hotel in accordance with the Dusit Group's prescribed manner.
  • Prepares all reports and financial statements on a timely basis as per the Dusit Group's instructions.
  • Complies with all Standards instruction and memorandums issued by the Dusit Group Executive Committee.
  • Ensures compliance with all laws and fiscal regulations affecting financial matters of the hotel.
  • Responsible for obtaining proper permits and licenses for currency transfers.
  • Safeguards all leases, contracts, and legal records that may affect the financial status of the hotel.
  • Handles local tax matters, including income taxes.
  • Approves all cash disbursements, allowances, and adjustments, ensuring subsequent approval by the Manager.
  • Ensures periodical physical counts and valuations of food & beverage and operating supplies inventories are conducted according to Standard Procedures.
  • Oversees quarterly physical counts and valuations of operating equipment inventories.
  • Administers blanket insurance policies from the Corporate Office and ensures effective handling of insurance matters.
  • Signs all checks and payments from the hotel’s bank account jointly with the Manager or his representative.
  • Ensures unclaimed wages are redeposited promptly in the bank account or treated in accordance with local regulations.
  • Signs off on Daily Reports of operations, Monthly Reports, Monthly Trend of Operations Report, Monthly Source of Business Report, and Monthly Auditor’s Check List Report.
  • Approves all monthly journal vouchers before posting to the general ledger.
  • Prepares all financial statements, accounting and statistical reports, and any special reports required by the Corporate Office or Manager.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Conducts department meetings to ensure smooth operation and management of the department.
  • Manages the department to ensure sufficiency of manpower in accordance with business volume and encourages job rotation.
  • Establishes two-way communication within and related departments.
  • Communicates effectively with guests, subordinates, and supervisors.
  • Manages time effectively by meeting deadlines.
  • Identifies and solves problems professionally.
  • Administers all concerns and furnishes profit budget and capital expenditure replacements.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Understands job roles and responsibilities of all positions in the Department.
  • Knows and understands departmental policies.
  • Checks and improves all service standards established by the company.
  • Supervises staff activities to maximise revenue and minimise costs.
  • Provides assistance to staff during peak periods.
  • Maintains grooming standards for all personnel.
  • Conserves energy and water while maintaining guest comfort.
  • Manages waste by reducing and recycling, encouraging careful resource use.

Commercial Responsibilities:

  • Communicates effectively with guests, clients, business partners, and employees.
  • Supervises employees to promote the hotel’s image and businesses.
  • Participates in community projects to enhance the hotel’s image and relationships.
  • Maintains and improves relationships between the hotel, community, business partners, and potential guests.

Human Resources Responsibilities:

  • Coaches and counsels employees, especially department heads and unit managers.
  • Evaluates performance of designated department heads and unit managers.
  • Conducts exit interviews for employees in the division.
  • Provides effective training to all employees regularly.
  • Motivates employees to grow within the company.
  • Develops personal executive skills continuously.
  • Understands company rules, regulations, and basic labour law.
  • Works closely with P&T in case of unrest situations caused by staff.
  • Coordinates with others to achieve company goals.

RELATIONSHIP:

  • Reports to General Manager and works closely with designated Corporate Executives.
  • Directs and supervises departmental activities.
  • Coordinates with other managers for smooth hotel operations.
  • Interacts with clients, guests, government officials, suppliers, and community members to promote the hotel.
  • Communicates effectively and efficiently with guests.

Others:

  • Engages in continuous learning through own IDP.
  • Performs any other duties assigned by the superior.

  • Establishes relationships and delivers exceptional guest experiences while promoting Thai graciousness.

JOB REQUIREMENT:

  • Minimum education of Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years in Financial management experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a 5-star environment.
  • Knowledgeable and proven experience in finance & accounting from hotel/residential project or hospitality industry is highly regarded.
  • Good communication skills in written and spoken English.
  • Positive attitude toward challenges and drive to excel.
  • Professional disposition with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
