We are looking for a Building Manager to oversee the daily operations of a block of 76 residential flats in Kensington W14, based in your own stylish office on the ground floor, and managing 3 staff (being 2 full time concierges porters and 1 part time cleaner).

You would manage the ongoing maintenance of the common areas of the building, using the service charge fund. You should have excellent organisational and project management skills. You would ensure that the building remains in compliance with applicable policies, regulations, and building codes (especially relating to safety), including monitoring for changes in requirements and good practice and coordinating staff training. Existing knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and building codes is desirable but not essential.

You will interact with many individuals ranging from the staff, flat leaseholders, other residents and contractors, which requires strong communication skills and ability to resolve any problems or issues. You will be reasonably proficient at using Windows based computers including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and Adobe Acrobat. You will have good relevant experience but not necessarily as a building manager.

Terms: 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday (with some flexibility on timing, e.g. could fit around school runs), i.e. 30 hours per week, with 28 days paid holidays per year, and the option to participate in a Nest pension (we would make statutory contributions). Salary £34,000 per year.
