Role Overview
Durrant Talent Solutions is proud to be partnering with a leading national residential managing agent in the search for a Fire Safety Advisor to join their South East team.
Working for a growing organisation within the property sector, you will provide Health & Safety and Fire Safety support across a varied portfolio of residential properties.
The role will involve undertaking risk assessments, providing guidance on relevant compliance requirements and supporting the organisation in maintaining high standards of fire and building safety.
A key part of the position will be completing Fire Door inspections across relevant properties, ensuring that buildings remain compliant with current Building Safety requirements.
We are looking for someone with strong technical knowledge who can work effectively as part of a wider team while also being comfortable managing their own workload and carrying out site-based responsibilities independently.
The position will report directly into the Fire Safety Manager.
Role Responsibilities
- Undertake regular site Fire Risk Assessment and Health and Safety Assessment.
- Carry out Fire Door Inspections to buildings that are over 11 meters in height within our customer portfolio.
- Ensure buildings conform to the latest Fire Related building regulations and technical standards.
- Provide health and safety advice to associates within the organisation to assist their health, safety and wellbeing.
- Working with various organisational departments plan required remediation works on assessed sites to ensure any work is completed to the required standard by competent contractors.
- Provide a practical and methodical approach to solving problems linked to Health, Safety and Fire Safety of sites.
- Provide advice in connection with applications for Building Regulations Approval on Fire Related matters.
Qualifications & Skills
- NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ equivalent.
- Recognised Fire Risk Assessment qualification at level 4 or above
- Fire Door Inspection Qualification
- IOSH Technical Member or working towards
- IFE/IFSM Member is required
- NFRAR membership required
- Passive Fire Protection Qualification (Desirable)
- Fire Engineering qualification (beneficial)
- Previous experience in a Health and Safety Advisory Role (beneficial)
- Previous experience in a Fire Safety Role (beneficial)
