Durlston Partners is working with an elite-level Trading Firm that is looking for a Trading Application Support Engineer to join their team.
Role:
- Production Stability: Monitor and troubleshoot real-time trading systems and order management systems (OMS/EMS).
- Incident Management: Diagnose outages, latency issues, and data breaks in a live market environment.
- Data Mining: Use SQL to query trade data, investigate breaks, and generate reports for the desk.
- Automation: Build monitoring tools and automate manual operational tasks using Python.
The Tech Stack:
- Linux: Strong command-line proficiency (grep, awk, sed, process management).
- SQL: Ability to write complex queries (joins, troubleshooting data integrity).
- Python: Scripting for automation and reading code to identify bugs.
Nice to have: FIX Protocol experience or Scheduler knowledge (AutoSys/Control-M).
