We are recruiting for an Options Trader to join a leading proprietary trading firm. The role sits within a high-performance trading team focused on pricing, risk management, and execution across listed derivatives. You will be actively involved in managing risk, identifying trading opportunities, and improving pricing and execution strategies in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Price and trade listed options across equities, indices, or other asset classes
  • Manage risk and inventory in real time, adjusting positions based on market conditions
  • Develop and refine trading strategies, including market making and relative value opportunities
  • Monitor and interpret volatility surfaces, skew, and term structure dynamics
  • Collaborate with quants and engineers to improve models, tools, and execution systems
  • Analyse trading performance and identify areas for optimisation

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of options theory (Greeks, volatility, pricing models)
  • Experience trading or supporting derivatives markets (internship or full-time)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skillset
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure in fast-moving markets
  • Proficiency in Python or similar for analysis and strategy development
  • Strong academic background in a quantitative discipline

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a market making or proprietary trading environment
  • Familiarity with low-latency or electronic trading systems
  • Knowledge of volatility trading strategies
  • Experience working with large datasets or market data feeds
