With year-on-year growth exceeding 10×, this team combines the best of product, technology, and brand design to deliver a seamless, high-performance digital experience to thousands of daily customers. They’re now looking for a Lead Developer to take ownership of their new e-commerce platform as they scale globally.
The Role
As Lead Developer, you’ll take charge of the company’s core e-commerce technology stack — leading the migration to Shopify, improving performance and conversion, and delivering an exceptional user experience. You’ll collaborate closely with design, product, and growth teams, owning everything from architectural design to deployment. This is a hands-on leadership role where technical impact translates directly into business growth.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the Shopify build-out and migration (Online Store 2.0, Liquid, API integrations)
- Design, develop, and maintain frontend and backend systems for high performance and scalability
- Collaborate with design and marketing teams to optimise UX and conversion
- Integrate third-party APIs and automation tools
- Drive best practices for code quality, deployment, and continuous improvement
- Work directly with the founders and leadership team on new product launches
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of software engineering experience
- 2+ years building or scaling Shopify storefronts or apps (Liquid, JavaScript, REST/GraphQL APIs)
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, or similar)
- Solid understanding of web performance, caching, and SEO
- Strong product intuition - you enjoy working closely with creative and commercial teams
- A proactive, hands-on approach and comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment
Why Join?
- Huge ownership - your work will directly shape the customer experience
- Fast-growth startup - work alongside ambitious, talented peers
- Product-driven culture - design and engineering at the heart of every decision
- Autonomy to experiment, innovate, and ship quickly
- Competitive salary, performance bonus, and flexible work setup
