Recruiting for the FICC Low Latency Trading technology team at a leading global investment bank with operations across Toronto, London, Dublin, and New York.

About the firm: Major Tier 1 investment bank with a significant presence in Fixed Income, Currencies & Commodities markets. Their electronic trading platforms handle critical client pricing and trading activities globally, utilizing cutting-edge low latency technology.

The role: Join a team building strategic low latency e-trading applications covering pricing, order execution, quoting solutions, automated trading, risk management, and data analytics. These systems are mission-critical for front office quants, traders, and enterprise risk.

What you'll do:

  • Build and maintain Kdb/q analytics and data pipelines for low latency trading
  • Work on market data processing, storage and real-time analytics
  • Design frameworks, libraries and APIs for front office systems
  • Partner closely with quants and traders on pricing and execution platforms
  • Support dealer-to-dealer and dealer-to-client trading solutions
  • Apply DevOps practices to highly scalable trading infrastructure

You have:

  • 8-10 years in finance technology (minimum 5 considered)
  • Deep Kdb/q expertise (architecture, analytics, market data)
  • Capital markets knowledge - ideally eTrading experience
  • Experience working directly with front office/business teams
  • Strong API and framework design skills
  • Test-driven development and agile methodologies

Highly valued:

  • FX, Fixed Income, or Commodities experience
  • Surveillance platform experience
  • Java or Python programming
  • Linux/shell scripting and DevOps tooling
  • Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
