The predicted salary is between 30000 - 37544 £ per year.

Permanent Contract 37 hour – Full Time (7am – 3pm). Required to start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site and grounds maintenance
  • Health and Safety, COSHH compliance
  • Security of premises and contents
  • Ensure vehicles are roadworthy and conduct safety checks
  • Deal with contractors
  • Support sustainability initiatives within the school
  • Line management and staff supervision (Assistant Caretaker, Cleaning Team including Housekeeper and School Bus Drivers)
  • Maintain confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Other duties commensurate with the role

Additional Responsibilities

  • Supervise Assistant Caretaker, Cleaning Team, Housekeeper and School Bus Drivers
  • Plan and coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance activities
  • Oversee repairs and maintenance of school premises
  • Manage school vehicles fleet

Requirements & Conditions

  • Experience in site and grounds maintenance, health & safety, COSHH, security, and line management.
  • Ability to handle contractors and support sustainability initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Prior experience supervising cleaning/maintenance staff is desirable.
  • Enhanced DBS check and pre-occupational health check required as part of selection.
