The Internal Hires Coordinator works 6 hours per week during Term-time organising stores and coordinating the hires process, overseeing meetings, rentals and issuing invoices. The Assembly Rooms team are looking for a suitable student, dedicated to supporting both student and North East theatre, who will gain practical experience of working in a position of responsibility as part of a professional team.
The below role descriptor seeks to capture the main requirements of the role consistently, providing a summary of the key duties of the flexible role to help in setting expectations for applicants, flexible workers and line managers. They are not intended to cover all duties which may be required.
Role Responsibilities
- Managing all bookings and rentals of theatre furniture, props, costume, and some limited technical equipment including lighting fixtures.
- Being present for all theatre hires and returns.
- Managing a booking calendar for hires.
- Issuing invoices for non-Durham Student Theatre clients.
- Working with the Theatre Graduate Intern and the wider Performing Arts team to ensure facilitation of student theatre runs smoothly with respect to equipment.
