The Chemistry Department is looking to recruit a casual worker to assist with modification of learning and teaching materials for students with visual disabilities. The below role descriptor seeks to capture the main requirements of the role consistently, providing a summary of the key duties of the flexible role to help in setting expectations for applicants, flexible workers and line managers. They are not intended to cover all duties which may be required.

Role Responsibilities

  • Prepare and plan for teaching classes.
  • Prepare other materials.
  • Work with colleagues to check equipment which will meet requirements.
  • Effectively plan, prioritise and respond to ensure an effective, timely service is delivered.
  • Respond to queries and deal with problems, escalating issues as required.
  • Update records and provide information and data as required.
  • Undertake development and analysis to assist in research projects under direction.
  • Work with internal and external contacts to deliver a service.
  • Contribute to effective health and safety practices.
  • Work with colleagues to identify and implement improvements to working activities.
