Responsibilities
- Proactively seek news stories and engagement opportunities from relevant stakeholders
- Create content for various communication methods, consulting with colleagues before publishing/posting where necessary
- Develop and maintain communication tools, which may include the department’s social media accounts and internal and external webpages associated to the department
- Develop communication templates for use within the department, for example emails, webpages and social media posts
Qualifications
- Current undergraduate student (Level 2 or 3) within the Department of Sport and Exercise Sciences
- Interest in creating professional social media content that represents the Department of Sport and Exercise Sciences student community
- Understanding of the responsibility of creating external facing content
- Ability to engage and communicate with the student community
- Good skills in time management and ability to prioritise own workload
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
