Grey College is seeking an enthusiastic and engaging Alumni Engagement Coordinator to deliver and develop our alumni engagement plan ahead of our 70th anniversary. The role involves planning and implementing alumni communications, donor reports, alumni events (small gatherings to large-scale weekend events and donor cultivation dinners), and coordinating a major fundraising project. The coordinator will lead on alumni engagement, event management and maintenance of the College’s alumni data.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and implementing alumni communications, including donor reports and event invitations.
  • Coordinating alumni events ranging from small gatherings to major fundraising dinners.
  • Maintaining and updating alumni data and the College alumni database.
  • Assisting with scholarship and trust award administration.
  • Collating student reports to support alumni engagement and fundraising.
  • Working closely with Principal, Vice Principal and DARO to develop donor relationships.
  • Supporting College events and outreach activities, including travel to events such as in London.
  • Preparing reports for senior managers and supporting the anniversary campaign.
  • Updating College webpages and social media channels.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Five GCSEs at Grade C or higher (or equivalent) including English and Maths, or a Post-16 qualification.
  • Experience in alumni engagement, events management, PR, marketing or a similar customer-facing role.
  • Experience of collaborating with team members to deliver high-quality services.
  • IT proficiency, experience with MS Office and database systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational and planning skills.
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge or other CRM systems.
  • Fundraising experience at regular or major giving level.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong digital competence across Microsoft 365 and other communication tools.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Commitment to training and professional development.
  • Understanding of the Higher Education system in the UK.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively and share knowledge.
