The role is a flexible, part‑time position responsible for overseeing bar operations during shifts, ensuring compliance with licensing conditions, and maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
Responsibilities:- Serve drinks in accordance with bar policies.
- Perform basic cleaning tasks and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Ensure the bar runs efficiently and follows licensing conditions and policies.
- Lead the shift, delegating tasks and supervising junior staff.
- Complete daily and weekly tasks, including cash management and reconciliation (cashing up).
- Secure the premises at the end of each shift.
- Manage the cellar, including stock rotation and line cleaning.
- Handle stock management: order via EPSYS, liaise with suppliers, and maintain inventory levels.
- Collaborate with finance, HR, and FBSH to ensure accurate takings, correct staff onboarding, and proper pay.
- Assist with hiring junior staff members (in partnership with FBSH).
- Manage staff rotas, cover shifts, and address staff discipline issues.
- Participate in meetings on events and bar activities, and attend regular meetings with FBSH.
- Maintain order and safety in the bar, reporting incidents to RSAs, security, and college management as required.
