We are recruiting a postdoctoral candidate to pursue research on entanglement distribution in quantum networks in the Department of Computer Science at Durham University, UK. The successful candidate is expected to have a strong background in mathematical modelling and performance evaluation of communication networks using applied probability, queueing theory, stochastic processes, and optimization. Prior knowledge of quantum networking is desirable but not mandatory.
The candidate will be jointly supervised by Dr. Thirupathaiah Vasantam (Durham University, UK) and Prof. Ayalvadi Ganesh (The University of Bristol, UK). This position is for 2 years, with a start date of May 1st, 2026.
