Position: Social Media and Communications Intern (Casual, 2–4 hours per week, £13.45 per hour inclusive of Real Living Wage Supplement)

Responsibilities
Proactively seek news stories and engagement opportunities from relevant stakeholders
Create content for various communication methods, consulting with colleagues before publishing/posting where necessary
Develop and maintain communication tools, which may include the department’s social media accounts and internal and external webpages associated to the department
Develop communication templates for use within the department, for example emails, webpages and social media posts
Qualifications
Current undergraduate student (Level 2 or 3) within the Department of Sport and Exercise Sciences
Interest in creating professional social media content that represents the Department of Sport and Exercise Sciences student community
Understanding of the responsibility of creating external facing content
Ability to engage and communicate with the student community
Good skills in time management and ability to prioritise own workload
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong written and verbal communication skills
