Move and handle production supplies as required. Load/unload trucks following all verification protocol; properly place and identify materials for receiving. Check in incoming materials for correct quantity and type of item following quality procedures and place materials appropriately in warehouse or direct to work floor as needed. Ensure all materials are clearly and properly identified at all times. Report damaged or missing materials/inventory to Department Coordinator.

Sort, organize, and store inventory in the proper location and ensure that the location is properly identified on paperwork. Maintain accurate inventory records and tracking system for both materials and finished product according to established quality standards. Adjust inventory levels to reflect receipts and disbursements. Organize and maintain up to date records of inventories. Rotate stock as needed. Relocate and restack items as needed to make space or organize stock.

Accurately prepare orders for shipment by processing requests, pulling materials, and packing boxes. Print or procure shipping labels or other necessary identification labels and ensure accuracy when using. Pull items for production work areas with 100% accuracy. Assist in counting of physical warehouse inventory with 100% accuracy as directed. Follow applicable quality procedures and work instructions.

Safely utilize a forklift or other material handling equipment. Always be aware of safety, and immediately report any unsafe working conditions to the manager or administration. Report any work-related injury within one hour. Utilize good quality inventory techniques of checking against printed material, counting, verifying accuracy, and other verification duties. Maintain safe and neat/clean work environment. Keep shelves, warehouse aisles, work stations, and receiving area neat. Sweep, dust, mop and organize/rearrange warehouse and work areas for orderliness.

Read and interpret documents, specifications, shipping and receiving slips, and records. Participate in company-sponsored training as assigned and assist with training new staff. Regular attendance is required between the hours of 8:15am and 4:15pm, M-F. Assist with persons with disabilities, including restraining in an emergency (if certified). Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-2 years minimum related experience in inventory management or warehouse operations in an industrial setting.
  • Good planning and organization skills; detail oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain records, logs, and reports.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work cooperatively and effectively with people of all levels.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently yet flexible in working in a group.
  • Ability to analyze information in order to identify potential problems or discrepancies.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Physical capacity sufficient to lift 35 pounds.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Computer Skills: Must have computer literacy. Prefer experience with AS400 system.
  • Other Requirements: U.S. Citizen or U.S. work qualification.
